Summer Complete

Whether it's Thailand, Africa, Costa Rica, Honduras, Europe...you name it, I have always come to the conclusion that there's not a place on earth that beats Lake Powell. This summer the Andersons/Robisons invided us to Wahweap for a killer weekend which once again, makes my summer a complete one. For, a summer is never complete without a good ol' trip to Powell!

There's nothing like being on the Lake first thing in the morning when every other boater is fast asleep. The great thing about September was that we pretty much had the Lake to ourselves all day...and did I mention we waterskiied all day as well? The only thing that makes that possible is glass all day long.

Don't let Ellerys new trend fool you...the water in the morning was warmer than it was in the afternoon....go figure

Mid- morning jab

Ellery can barely keep her eyes open. This is early bird thing is a new concept for her. Now me on the other hand.....

Hey, if the suns up, I'm up. Ready to rock.

I think this says it all- I'm a morning person. Thansk mom and dad.

Notice the belt- This was the greatest wedding gift Craig and I got. Uncle JErry and Uncle Matt ahd customized belts made for "Buck" and "Greg" Otherwise known as Kelli and Craig. We decided this trip was to be the unleashing.

Girls, Girls, Girls

Rise and Shine! We love our Andee soooo much!

hmmmmm....should I ski one more time? She didn't have a choice, we wouldn't let her in the boat.

Andee and Kelli

Now this is cute

But this is even cuter. Their sweet aren't they?

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa... Whats wrong with this picture? #1- since when do cell phones have coverage in Lake Powell? #2- since when do you even WANT a cell phone in Lake Powell? I guess this shows the huge difference in age AND priorities. I couldn't wait to not worry about my phone, but Madi here just couldn't seem to set it down.

This is Captain Jerry and his stylin new short

This is Captain Jerry and the Large mouth Bass he caught while trying to teach me

See- he's a good teacher, but I'm not a good fisher.

Captian Jerry and his Bass boat (speed boat is more like it)

I literally had drool streaking across my cheek from how fast we were going!

Did I mention we LOVE to dance???

BFF

Gregs early morning Yoga

Now guys, water sports take A LOT of concentration as you can see. They are not for everyone so don't try these things at home

Paybacks a Bitch.

This is probably my favorite picture. Andee and Ellery were so excited to be the first ones in the water!!

Then Abby and Madi decided they wanted in too.

Like I said, don't try this at home :)

Yeah, she's not too sure about his but she did awesome

Ok- do you see anything wrong with these beautiful feet? According to Ellery (and keep in mind that she is infact a certified massage therapist) my tendons are too short so they pull my toes back. I always thought I had cute feet. Thanks a lot

These are Andees and we won't even start on hers

And talk about screwed up...Ellery doesn't even have an arch! That's not the only place she's flat.

So here they are. Take your pick. Whos feet would you rather have?

OK- Jerry has the broom and Andee has a shoe. What a bunch of wussies.

And THIS is what their after! Now let me just mention that AFTER we had killed it, Andee said she would have eaten it for $500. Convenient that she tell us that after the fact don't you think? I would have paid that in a heartbeat...to watch her crunch and munch that thing.

Andees amazing trick! She puts her foot in the rope and skiis on one foot. I think this talent comes from Aunt Shan

ANd this is about how we all felt by the end. We had such a blast! Thanks so much to Elle, Greg, and Jerry! We can't WAIT until next year!!

Oh- and this is the only picture I got of our other Captian "RUSTY". Rusty is just some dude we met in Paige one night and we paid him to be our full time driver. He was just one of the gang. Thanks Rusty and we hope to see you next year!

Lover of Elk

This tends to be the story of our lives in the fall...we try and ride atleast 3 times a week. This particular night turned out to be more than we bargained for. We were able to watch a herd of 30+ elk for about 45 minutes. It's something that I"ve only seen twice in my life and hope to see again. The following pictures are 2 bulls fighting for a group of cows. It was unreal.
Elle acutally got a little teary eyed and was touched by the "spirit of creation" as she called it. We now call her a "Lover of Elk" who would have thought????

This is Gregs face the whole time and this is Gregs quote: "HOLY #$*&!! Did I just see that?" Repeated atleast 5 times

Posh Camping

Last weekend we went camping with Greg, Elle, their girls, Car, and Griffin. We went up to fairview for a few days and had a blast! The fact that Ellery came was a miracle so lets just say we all had to make her as comfortable as possible. From Trailors, to dutch oven cooking, and most importantly her own "bathroom" I would dare say the weekend was a success and that she is now a true outdoorsman.

Sloane(ee) and her breakfast table

Now when I say "posh" camping, this is what I'm talking about! Thanks to Greg and All *Star, we had quite the immenities.

Pretty self explanatory I'd say.

Ok- we're TRYING to be serious....but struggling just a bit.

Go get em' Elle :)

Thanks to Uncle Craig we had these cruisers to get us around. By weekends end, Indi was driving all by herself and loving it!

This was embarassing. Ours were on the left. Car and Griff really showed us all up with the food. Griff is quite the outdoor chef and doesn't mess around.

Ok, I have to admit that I was humbled when I tried to use the flicker device that Gregs holding. I couldn't get those suckers to fly! But, to be honest Greg was the one who was really humbled when I stepped up with my shotgun and blasted those suckers out of the air before he even got a shot off. I was pretty proud of myself :)

Thanks guys for such a fun weekend!

Provo Hole

This is Craig and I hiking the Provo Hole. It's a "secret" trail that only a handful of people know about that takes you up above Stewart Falls. At the top there is a time capsule that you can document your hike. There are letters in there from Robyn and Chase dating back atleast 15 years. Mine only date back about 5, but I'm hoping there are many more to come.

Babes in Bikinis

Thank goodness for Andee and her demanding (but rewarding) job at Marine Products. Her hard work has paid off and we have all enjoyed our Lake time.
